A. Programme Highlight
Bachelor of Education (Honours) (Early Childhood Education) in Leadership and Non-Chinese Speaking Children (4-year part-time) [PT BEd(ECE) in L&NCS] is one of the three UGC-funded part-time ECE bachelor’s degree programmes we offer. The programme is designed to assist qualified ECE educators to become highly competent, innovative and ethical early education professionals who are able to contribute to the development of quality early childhood education in Hong Kong. The 4-year PT BEd(ECE) in L&NCS programme is for the ones who aspired to be leaders in shaping the preschool education of non-Chinese speaking children. The programme will enhance the capabilities of the students to become effective in managing diversity within their unique educational contexts. Graduates of this programme will be encouraged to challenge and extend their understanding of early childhood education in general and to reflect and build on their own practical experience in particular.
B. Student Learning Experience
- Teaching practice (with supervised teaching)
- A half-day virtual study tour collaborated with New Era University College (NEUC), Malaysia on 14 June 2022. The tour is designed specifically to broaden participants’ vision and strengthen their knowledge in early childhood education in different cultural settings.
C. Student Award and Achievement
In 2021/22, one student achieved the Scholarship “Simon K.Y. Lee Award in Early Childhood Education”.
