(Early Childhood Education) Part-time
A. Programme Highlight
Bachelor of Education (Honours) (Early Childhood Education) (3-year part-time) [PT BEd(ECE)] is one of the three UGC-funded part-time ECE bachelor’s degree programmes we offer. The programme is designed to assist qualified ECE educators to become highly competent, innovative and ethical early education professionals who are able to contribute to the development of quality early childhood education in Hong Kong. The 3-year PT BEd(ECE) programme aims to encourage students to challenge and extend their understanding of early childhood education in general. Graduates from this programme will be well prepared to take on leadership roles in promoting the quality of early childhood education in Hong Kong.
B. Student Learning Experience
- Teaching practice (with supervised teaching)
- A half-day virtual study tour collaborated with New Era University College (NEUC), Malaysia on 14 June 2022. The tour is designed specifically to broaden participants’ vision and strengthen their knowledge in early childhood education in different cultural settings.
C. Student Award and Achievement
In 2021/22, three students achieved the “Professional Excellence Scholarship for EdUHK HD (ECE) Students”.
